My life and situation were is dire straits with a massive debt amounting to over 6 years of my annual income left from my ex-husband lingering over my head for over five years. The debt collection company were coming after me alone for the whole amount and it was never going to be achievable for me to pay it back. If Heritage Legal had not achieved what they had, my only option was to declare bankruptcy which would have been devastating for a low income, single mother of two children.

He even went so far as to make a 4-hour return trip on his day off to meet me in order to get all my documentation to put the case forward with as much evidence as possible. He always put my mental wellbeing first and realised that I was not a lawyer and needed things explained in plain language and that by doing so my mind and heart were put at rest.
By using his expert negotiating skills Michael managed to negotiate the debt down so it was achievable for me to pay a greatly diminished lump sum up front followed by regular, manageable payments over the forthcoming year. This outcome was so favourable for me. It has allowed me to do the right thing and pay off the outstanding debt and clear my name. This allowed me to get on with my life after having this horrible financial burden that was not my doing, hovering over my family and me. If it wasn’t for Michael and Heritage City Legal I would not be in such a good state of mind as I am now.
