I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Heritage City Legal for allowing Michael Stockwell to work on my case achieving an amazing and positive outcome which I didn’t ever think was possible.
My life and situation were is dire straits with a massive debt amounting to over 6 years of my annual income left from my ex-husband lingering over my head for over five years. The debt collection company were coming after me alone for the whole amount and it was never going to be achievable for me to pay it back. If Heritage Legal had not achieved what they had, my only option was to declare bankruptcy which would have been devastating for a low income, single mother of two children.
In his extremely professional manner, Michael took control of everything which totally put my mind at east. He guided me through the process and educated me in language I understood about what was going on so step by step, I became more empowered and less terrified by the process.
Michael would do anything that was needed to get my case done. He even went so far as to make a 4-hour return trip on his day off to meet me in order to get all my documentation to put the case forward with as much evidence as possible. He was available to talk at all hours of the day and night, nothing seemed to be to much or a problem for him. He always put my mental wellbeing first and realised that I was not a lawyer and needed things explained in plain language and that by doing so my mind and heart were put at rest.
By using his expert negotiating skills Michael managed to negotiate the debt down so it was achievable for me to pay a greatly diminished lump sum up front followed by regular, manageable payments over the forthcoming year. This outcome was so favourable for me. It has allowed me to do the right thing and pay off the outstanding debt and clear my name. This allowed me to get on with my life after having this horrible financial burden that was not my doing, hovering over my family and me. If it wasn’t for Michael and Heritage City Legal I would not be in such a good state of mind as I am now. Thank you Michael and the team at Heritage City Legal for working so hard on my case and achieving such a good outcome for me and my family. I will be forever grateful.

Christopher Trace, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, in allowing your extremely talented staff member Mr Michael Stockwell to assist me with preparing my final summary case to the ombudsman.
I was in need of some advice on how to correctly set out my case for the viewing of the ombudsman before his final decision was made.
I certainly did not expect it to be done for me, and in such a prompt and professional way. Michael worked on it to all hours of the evening and he continually checked with me that I had received the documents and that it was in fact containing all the truth and was correct, he stuck with it until it was sent off.
I sent the carefully prepared ordered zip folder and for some reason it didn’t send properly. And he then instructed me how to send it again ensuring it sent to the correct place.
His work ethic and professionalism needs to be commended I was so overwhelmed of how amazing he was. I’m sure he is an invaluable asset to your firm. Thank you so much for allowing Michael to help me, as this decision will in turn affect the direction of my assets in the future.

Fantastic with Building Contracts!
Chris went above and beyond. Always looking out for the Client’s best interest ensuring that our bills would not blow out. I was seeking legal advice on how to cancel a building contract, to ensure it would be covered under QBCC Home Warranty. I am happy to say that Chris ensured everything was completed correctly and efficiently. After speaking to several local solicitors, they gave us the opinion that they would be able to assist with our cancelation of building contract, only to provide them with all the information and be told they did not have the experience to proceed. Chris took the time out and really got to know my case first before ensuring he could help us out. I never got the opportunity to meet him face to face, but he was always approachable over the phone and email.
